Kangping TB screening: 78 high-school students shared needles
What happened. During a school tuberculosis screening in Kangping County, Shenyang, Liaoning, staff broke the "one person, one needle" rule on 78 students. Local officials confirmed it, said re-tests were normal, and set up an investigation team.
What vanished. On Oct 29–30 the story reached 15 hot-list entries on four platforms. Most dropped off the list within 1–2 hours while still ranked in the top 20. Links stayed live and we found no removal notice, so we label this dropped off the list, not likely censored. Separately, CDT saved a related essay in its 404 deleted-content archive.

What the state line stressed
"Confirmed" and "all results normal." Coverage moved from the needle-sharing violation to reassurance within a day.
Sharper takes inside China
The Paper and the People's Daily app: the "one person, one needle" medical baseline must not be allowed to slip. Yicai: a clean test result doesn't excuse the violation. Weibo hashtags asked for "a full account to the public."
What only overseas Chinese-language media and critical voices reported
Parents gathering to protest, and a larger "200 students" figure (Bannedbook, Nov 2). These are unverified claims, shown so readers can compare.
